Pleasanton Animal Control - full and overdue

Received this email this morning...please help if you can:

Pleasanton Animal Control has at least 12 puppies and many dogs in there and has a full pound. They have been full for over a week and will have to put some of them down soon.
If anyone is able to save any please let me know. I can go see what and who is in there but cannot take any. I don't want to go and take pics if no one is able to take any of them. It is heartbreaking and getting harder to do each time I get familiar with them only to see them get put down. If you have any other contacts at any other shelters not on these lists please let them know. I am sure they don't have much time left.

In addition, a focus group consisting of local residents, government officials, animal professionals and advocates will make further recommendations to revise or clarify the current ordinance. Areas under review include:

• Spay/Neuter options
• Pet Licensing

• Animal Sales

Any proposed changes will be finalized later this spring and all ordinance revisions must be approved by City Council before becoming law.
